“Gibboni mastered Mozart’s writing with great elegance, confidence, and flawless technique. His sound remained always controlled, yet never cold, with phrasing that was fluid and natural. Gibboni displayed a rare balance between virtuosity and lyricism, managing to sustain a coherent and thoughtful interpretative line, attentive both to detail and to the overall form of the piece. The orchestra, under Maestro Muti’s direction, engaged in a sensitive and responsive dialogue with the soloist.”

“Gibboni’s performance (seven Capricci, including an encore) at the same time positively amazed us by the extraordinary cleanliness of the execution and almost intimidated us by the almost too perfect analysis of the work.”

– Il Corriere Musicale

Giuseppe Gibboni, regarded as one of the most extraordinary talents of his generation, is renowned for his prodigious technique, expressive depth, and remarkable interpretative maturity. In October 2021, he captured international attention by winning First Prize at the 56th “Premio Paganini” International Violin Competition in Genoa — and by also winning the audience award and two special prizes for the best interpretations of Paganini’s Caprices and Concerto. He was the first Italian violinist in 24 years to win this prestigious competition.
